About Us

Thorngumbald Parish Council serves three communities, Thorngumbald, Camerton and Ryehill. The Parish is located in the East Riding of Yorkshire and serves a community of 3,317 residents and 1,435 households. Census (2011).

The Parish boasts two public houses and a micro-pub. There are two places of worship, St Mary’s Church and a Methodist Chapel. In addition, the Parish has a number of shops, a Post Office, Pharmacy and small Co-Op store.

There are two Village Halls, one located in Thorngumbald and the other in Ryehill. Please note that due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, these venues are not available for hire other than for the preschool.
